Vegetables
require at least 6 hours sunshine

Soil
•loam soil is best for garden
•Its free draining but also moisture
retentive.
Acid & Alkaline soil:
vegetables can be grow on soil with
pH 5.5 to 7.5.
Drainage
system:

Sowing

•The ground should be warm at sowing time.
Harvesting and Storing
•Maturity time for harvesting are
different for different crops.
Storing
•Keep the vegetables in cold and dark
place.
•There should be space in vegetables and
air should be circulate between them.
Weather problems
Wind:
Make wind break to protect the
plants.
Frost
•Use cloches, fleece, straw and newspaper
to protect the plant from frost.
